The terms and conditions governing tiling services provided by South Wales Elite Tiling Services.
Last Updated: July 2026
These Terms of Service govern the provision of tiling services by South Wales Elite Tiling Services, operated by Lee Morris, Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taf, CF39 8HZ ("we", "us", "the contractor"). By instructing us to carry out tiling works, you ("the client") agree to these terms.
All quotations provided are free and without obligation. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotations are based on the information provided by the client at the time of the site visit. If site conditions are found to differ materially from those described, we reserve the right to revise the quoted price and will notify the client before proceeding.
A start date will be agreed between the client and Lee Morris prior to works commencing. We will make every reasonable effort to adhere to the agreed start date. Delays caused by unforeseen circumstances (e.g. adverse weather, supply issues) will be communicated to the client as soon as reasonably practicable.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the client is responsible for supplying tiles, grout, and adhesive in sufficient quantities (including a minimum 10% wastage allowance). We will advise on quantities required. If we supply materials on behalf of the client, these will be itemised separately on the quotation.
We will advise on any substrate preparation required prior to tiling (e.g. self-levelling compound, Hardiebacker boarding, tanking). Any additional preparation works not included in the original quotation will be quoted separately and approved by the client before proceeding.
Payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the agreed works unless otherwise stated in the written quotation. For larger projects, staged payment milestones may be agreed in advance. We accept bank transfer and cash payments. Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue. Late payment may incur interest at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate.
We guarantee all tiling workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This guarantee covers defects arising from faulty installation, but does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper cleaning, movement in the building structure, or failure of materials supplied by the client.
The client is responsible for ensuring: clear access to the work area; removal of furniture and fixtures where required (unless otherwise agreed); adequate ventilation; and that tiles and materials are delivered to site before the agreed start date.
The client may cancel agreed works by giving a minimum of 48 hours' written notice prior to the agreed start date. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start date may be subject to a charge to cover lost time and preparatory costs. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
We carry public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the works contracted. We are not liable for consequential loss or damage not arising directly from our workmanship.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
